ACCESSIBLE SERVICES

Saying, “We refer families to services,” can only be said if we ensure cost is not a barrier.

—Dr. Dominic Cappello, AAEI Co-director

Do a quick search for services directories and you’ll find plenty serving New Mexico. You may well ask why we added another to the list.

Beyond the fact that having multiple directories increases the chances that a family in need will find a nearby solution, our directory serves a couple of specific purposes. First, all resources listed in the 100% Family Services Directory address one of the largest hurdles we found preventing New Mexican families from getting help: cost. If a service isn’t free, offered on a sliding scale, or through a program such as Medicaid, Medicare, VA benefits, Tribal benefits, etc, we don’t list it.

Second, we track the location, hours, and accessibility of services to identify gaps. Through our related 100% Family Centers project, we then work on a county-by-county basis to fill in those gaps by working with local organizations. This is data we simply can’t get from other directories.

Visit the 100% Family Services Directory and bookmark it. Chances are, someone you know needs help.
