FREE Community Film Screening

MOVIE NIGHT!!
Free Community Film Screening:
UNDIVIDE US
An Evening of Hope, Dialogue, and Community Connection
Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 6:00 P.M.
Aviator 10, Allen Theaters

Presented by the Sacramento Mountains Foundation
In a time when headlines tell us we're hopelessly divided, what if the real story of America is being written in living rooms, church basements, and community centers across our nation?
Join your neighbors for a free screening of UNDIVIDE US, a groundbreaking documentary that reveals what happens when ordinary Americans sit down together to discuss the issues that matter most. This isn't another film about what divides us—it's about rediscovering what we share.

What Makes This Film Different
Through the intimate lens of real conversations in Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Atlanta, UNDIVIDE US shows something remarkable: when given the chance, Americans from all walks of life—Republicans, Democrats, and Independents—can discuss even the most challenging topics with respect, humor, and genuine curiosity about each other's perspectives.

Why This Matters Now
UNDIVIDE US proves that while politicians and pundits profit from division, the vast majority of Americans—what the film calls "the exhausted majority" — are ready for something different. We're tired of the noise. We're ready to listen. We're ready to build.

What You'll Experience
This isn't a lecture or a political rally. It's an invitation to see your fellow Americans—and perhaps yourself—in a new light.

The film celebrates:
The courage of ordinary citizens who dare to have difficult conversations
The power of local communities to solve problems without waiting for Washington
The American tradition of coming together despite our differences
The possibility of friendship across political divides

As one participant discovered: "We may vote differently, but we both want safe neighborhoods for our kids. We both care about good jobs. We both love this country. That's a starting point."

About the Sacramento Mountains Foundation: We believe in the power of community to address our challenges and celebrate our shared values. This screening is part of our ongoing commitment to bring neighbors together and strengthen the fabric of our shared community.

Aviator 10
3651 Mesa Village Dr
Alamogordo, New Mexico 88310

BONUS: Every attendee will receive a free Allen Theaters $10 gift card to enjoy a future movie of their choice at Allen Theaters—our gift to thank you for investing in your community.

"In our differences, the American experiment is still alive and well."

This course will illustrate the connection between trauma and its impact on regulation, relationship and academic, social, and behavioral struggles, all while working towards a better understanding of what influences behavior and what behavior is communicating. With better understanding comes a better response, one that supports healing, facilitates connection and builds resilience. This course will offer a working definition of trauma and will explore a simple antidote to the trauma response that is surprisingly at the fingertips of anyone at any time. This experience gives participants the opportunity to put on a trauma sensitive lens and explore the “trauma goggles,” to deepen understanding of the impact of trauma on the mind, body, and soul. A practical overview of basic brain function and impact of trauma on the brain’s organization, function, and structure, especially the stress response system. This course incorporates current research and perspectives from neuroscience, including the work of Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr.Besse van der Kolk, as well as numerous other sources.
