Somos Latine Families

This free, 4-episode virtual conversation series offers a safe and welcoming space to hold conversations for and by Latine families. Explore what it means to be a parent as part of the Latine community, raising Latine children while navigating U.S. mainstream cultures, and connecting Latine cultural identities to physical and mental well-being. Join us as we create a Latine parent community of mutual learning and support.

Episodes are on the following Mondays, from 3-4 pm ET / 12-1 pm PT:

October 6, 2025 – Creating Partnerships that Protect the Health and Well-being of Our Communities

This workshop will help all parents and educators who work with families gain a deeper understanding of personal financial management, financial goal setting, saving and compounding interest, debt reduction, budgeting and spending plans, and credit.
Financial literacy helps you plan for your family’s financial future and will give you tips for teaching children about finances.
The material will be shared in a way that allows you to understand how different systems work so that you can implement a plan for your finances and improve your relationship with money.

*If more than one adult in your family would like to participate, complete a separate registration form for each adult.

The Acting Lab is a laid-back meet-up for amateur actors to perform, have fun, and help each other improve. Whether it’s a scene, a monologue, or some improv, everyone gets a chance to jump in and try things out. After each performance, the group shares honest, supportive feedback so we can all learn and grow together. It’s a great way to practice, connect, and build confidence in a relaxed, creative space.

This ECHO program seeks to support healthcare workers and allies in their capacity to treat and support youth experiencing mental health challenges, providing education on psychiatric assessment, diagnoses, behavioral/psychotherapeutic interventions, integrative approaches, medication management, and navigating behavioral health referrals and systems.

Together For Our Community: Intersectoral Meeting & Community Fair

The Proveedoras Unidas Southern New Mexico Coalition is pleased to extend a cordial invitation to participate in an intersectoral meeting and community fair, a collaborative space designed to strengthen the connection between agencies, organizations, and local families. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2025, in the community of Chaparral, New Mexico.

Additionally, we invite each participating agency to bring information to share with community families, and, if they wish, they may also bring a gift for a raffle.

Holloman Military & Family Readiness and Child & Youth Programs is hosting a family support event, “Month of the Military Family Townhall”. The event is scheduled for 13 November from 4pm-6pm.
