Region 12 has completed the SIM workshop and is now entering the BHRIA-required Regional Planning Phase, during which behavioral health stakeholders must collaboratively develop a regional plan that addresses service gaps, outlines implementation timelines and performance measures, and strengthens coordination across the region. The final plan must be approved by Otero County, Lincoln County, and the Mescalero Apache Tribe, then submitted to the state Behavioral Health Executive Committee for review, funding strategy development, oversight, and project management, while also supporting workforce pipeline planning with regional higher education partners.
