New Mexico in the AI Age
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a global knowledge repository, it's not AI overlords we should fear but humans who still claim that some problems are just too hard to solve.

WHY HUMAN INGENUITY AND AI-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS NOW?
Human ingenuity coupled with AI-driven solutions is how we get to good governance and a New Mexico where 100% of children and families thrive. Throughout history, human societies have stumbled through various ages, from agrarian to industrial to information, each bringing profound changes to how we live and work. While technology has leaped forward, human frailties have stubbornly persisted. Greed, corruption, and apathy remain as constant as death and taxes. Now, we stand at the precipice of the AI Age, a transformative era promising to revolutionize our approach to societal challenges. The catch? It all hinges on us imperfect humans getting out of our way. Imagine that. Progress is dependent on people resisting the urge to, well, be people. Buckle up, folks; this should be interesting.
New Mexico in the AI Age means we have at our fingertips the power and centuries of research to transform state governance and community life in the era of artificial intelligence. As we enter the AI Age, we face a paradigm shift in problem-solving capabilities. With access to vast human knowledge and unprecedented computational power, we can address almost every human-made problem on Earth. The good news is that people can no longer claim issues like homelessness or healthcare insecurity are too complex to solve. Solutions exist everywhere and now we can access them on our phones.
The AI Age allows us to operationalize public health, safety, education, and justice research and implement vital services that impact the quality of life. While AI stands ready to assist researchers and practitioners, human willingness and action have been limiting factors. Our 100% Community Model recognizes AI’s promise when used responsibly for societal benefit. AI is not perfect, and fact-checking is part of the process, but as a thought partner and research assistant, AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity are time savers.
Adapt for Social Good
The public sector must adapt as the private sector rapidly embraces AI, potentially leading to considerable changes in how we live, learn, and work. We believe in people and their capacity to adapt to new technologies, as we all did just 25 years ago when mobile phones and laptops were arriving. So it will be with AI, using it as a tool for social good.
